Power of Music

Power of Music

I'm not sure how the world affects others but I'm here experiencing it with the sun in taurus and fully living through my senses. I feel blessed to be born into a family so rich in culture. Coming from the carribbean the instruments played are similar but the thought process on making the sounds was so different. The frequencies of these song move you and elevate you. My mother is dominican and this may be biased but nothing else can make you move like a nice merengue or palo. My body just electrifies and just knows how to move and it brings me such joy. I know that if I need to boost my mood I can play this and my body will feel these high vibrations.

I learned about God and the power of goodness through reggae music. As a child my dad would feed us Bob Marley, I knew all the lyrics on these records. I didn't realize how these high vibrations affected me but I was always able to have a sense of bliss and expression. Things of course penetrated and I had to heal and Satisfy My Soul. Overall I appreciate that watering because I know if I want to channel goodness and healing I can listen to reggae. Reggae gives you power too, you feel a sense of oneness with the world. Many reggae songs reference Jah, speak of healing and togetherness. The frequency of these songs stimulate you and truly leave an impression. There is only one God but we may call him different names such as, YHWH, Jehovah, Jah, Allah. I feel the power of God in music with a positive message to uplift people.

I live through my senses, my favorite outlet has been writing, pen and paper expressing everything in me. I may not have lyrical genius talent but I always found comfort in this. When speaking on what one should follow or what one should do is really a solo journey, find God in whatever avenue meets you. This life is uniquely yours to live. Like the amazing Vybz Kartel said "Coloring This Life, Like It's All In Crayon". Find what truly brings joy to your heart, the journey to self and God is not easy. Let go of judgements of others, and learn from experiences around you whether your own or the people you know.

Thanks for reading!
