floating.

welcome aboard the sinking ship

hold on tight as we swish into drips

oh my, my tummy is starting to itch

why did i sign up to be on this sinking ship

man what drip, i am a part of that world

all hands off deck

only me when i checked

the light inside was just enough to let me float

do i regret getting on that boat

who would i be if i never sunk

surely not an athlete who dunks

in my opinion, experience gives that spunk

i mean go ahead and ask unc

i digress

954 feet deep in the ocean

piranhas around me causing commotion

oh man get me out, its atrocious

met a whale name Lucas, he gave me a hand took me up

to 907 feet, closer to my birth town

well looky here im surrounded by clowns

one said nemo went uptown

to grab a beer, more like a few rounds

he can guide you, let me send him the sound

before i knew it, i was 305 feet away from my home town

at this point theres no more free rides

we learned to swim with the guys

met a dolphin named ty,

with him we learned to fly

out the ocean, take a risk to be seen

no shine added but you see the gleam

not scared to go after something and crush my own dream

im over it, im cocky, no one got it like me, yup dont choke

i got the world ahead of me, my foot on they throat

multitalented this aint no joke

i didnt create myself come on folks

blessed by the holy father

trying to be his holy daughter

i used to drive past MacArthur back when i wanted to be a scholar

these days im feeling more author

confidence is the answer

take me to the north pole i miss prancer

showed me how to be a great dancer

i digress

im floating but i made my move

I can swim to the bottom come back up make it look smooth

see all that was school

grateful to be misunderstood

sometimes in life we need to get shook

take a chance like why not learn laws to free an alleged crook

willingness is all it took

shoot for the moon

sing more than just a tune

on tuesday we make the car vroom

into the light of the night towards what’s true

no more floating in the city let’s call it a truce

no more floating in the city time cut them loose

no more floating in the city time to really get nifty

no more floating in the city the leaders getting greedy

no more floating in the city it’s official time to get busy.
