i can't be funny today
the 9th month a holy month to those that partake in Ramadan
also a holy week for some christians(Lent)
but pain sits here still
brokenness still sits here
the presence of holiness does not equate
a happy truth
i don't want a beautiful lie
beautiful lies are why we are here
we can't keep prolonging the pain
we can't keep covering up the shame
we can't keep acting like the world is sane
nor saved
the world is on a high and we must all come down
all these fancy gadgets
all these fancy buildings
the watches
the clothes
the shoes
a month to be honest with one self
a month to grieve
a month to repent
give freely what you have to give
do that always
the sick in spirit need the words
the words they don't seek
i hope the truth doesn't offend you
i hope you just cry to God
i hope you pray for those amongst you who are stubborn
it may help them but it'll certainly help you
the truth has been spoken and our own people deny it
why
because it interferes with the role they play
as a well mannered puppet
playing a game that was given to them by man
not God
settling
not seeking the kingdom
but the furniture for the kingdom
not seeking the body
but the jewels to put on the body
it hurts my feelings
it makes me want to cry
people won't get down in the dirt with you
but want to tell you how they would get up
you're not here with me
the eyes i have you don't have it
you can't tell me about my walk
you can't speak down on a prophet
if you were able to carry the mantle better
God would've gave it to you
God doesn't make mistakes
that's you
mere mortals
prophets included all have the time they become mere mortals
even Jesus

my lwa is Jesus Christ he's my lwaÂ
i honor the rest of them and i am sovereign amongst them, my lwa didn't die for 3 days
and holds the keys of death and hades
for those who do evil to over power me
i am sovereign in spirit
i am his daughter
i am a child of Jesus Christ
flesh can crown flesh
but how much greater is it to be crowned by God himself
the creator of the universe
how much greater is to have the priest who laid his life down be your samuel in your david moment
and anoint your head with oil
that is the walk with Jesus
in his secret place
david didn't become king right away
but he was anointed and his time had to come
so shall it be for those who make him their lwa if that's how you understand it
don't just dip your toe
go all in
be flooded
