My curls are unique to me, they are a reflection of the freedom I chose within. Untamed, wild, and free. My hair was something I had control over since I started the 3rd grade, I felt extremely cool. As I grew older I would spend hours on the internet searching what I can use in my hair to moisturize it, and to help it grow. Since I was so young with no income I would use what I would find in the kitchen and create my own blends. Many of my friends and family members would ask me about my hair care regimen and I was always excited to share.
What hair means to me is everything really, it's my individuality, the way I decide to style it is an expression of me. Hair has been used for many years to make statements, to give directions, to show social class status, and many more interesting things.
