Sally

Sally

What If

LIFE

what if

it wasn’t meant to be like this

LIFE

can we receive the blessing or continue in mischief

LIFE

mischief that leads to destruction

i kissed sally under the table in class

sally said it was ok so i grabbed her asssssss

I’m only 10 years old

My daddy just laughed

Now I’m 35 and lust is all I attract

Is this love

is this life

Replicate my time

mischief brought me down a path

Celebrated indeed

But I don’t feel for me

I been kissing and grabbing Sally’s since before 13

I am now a child of God

And the Sally’s keep trynna pass me the baton

And I know just what needs to be done

This is my life I’ve been the one

It’s chasing me and there’s no escape you see

Just caught up in beauty and curves

They open their legs and in I go

As a child it was celebrated

As a man it makes me feel devastated

Lisa has a baby girl on the way

She’s my blessing and her mistake

Now I gotta try to find a way so my baby don’t end being another boys sally

I live in Miami maybe I’ll move to Tally

Move with the tall trees

No words about the birds and the bees

Raise her as a little boy so one day she’ll be a queen

Better than me but her mother

Her mother was just another Sally

Saying what she needed to hook me

I’m a successful man been had the bands

Sally liked me because my daddy owned farm lands

And in my hands

I brought food

Eggs and limes

My class was blessed

It was divine

Sally knew exchange

Sally knew the game

I guess it wasn’t only us for a change

Now Lisa she was indoctrinated the same

A man with some change

Forget the brain

Beauty is all needs to be obtained

My baby will be beautiful

But I gotta go away

I can’t raise her in this thang

LIFE

When we recognize the crack in our life, we change

We are put back together but those cracks and missing pieces they’re real

We try our best to avoid those cracks to extend to the next person

The brokenness was real but the super glue was real too

Having a family gives you purpose

You taste the bread with olive oil and the salt

Grandmas touch

Just came to my palette tears down my cheek

Nonetheless I don’t blame anyone just introspection

How did we land here
